From B2B SI to B2C AI Platform

Initially focused on system integration (SI), Blynx faced structural limitations in a market with low margins, intense competition, and limited global potential. Given these constraints, the company decisively shifted from a B2B systems integration model to a consumer-oriented AI platform, opening up broader opportunities for global growth


The development team embraced the shift, motivated by the opportunity to apply cutting-edge LLM technologies and high-performance data processing. While this transition presented challenges - especially the need to continuously learn and implement emerging technologies - Blynx was able to overcome them effectively with technical guidance from SmileShark and support from AWS.

Blynx selected AWS as its cloud provider for its strong presence in the Korean market and its robust technical support system. AWS consistently delivered faster and more accurate responses than other cloud vendors, enabling the development team to move quickly.

While large MSPs often struggle to provide personalized support to early-stage startups, SmileShark specializes in assisting startups and SMBs. Beyond surface-level guidance, SmileShark provided detailed benchmarks, hands-on technical insights, and practical security validation, helping Blynx accelerate development and strengthen its infrastructure.



Key Milestones & Achievements

Development of I’m began on April 8, 2024. Within just three months, on July 2, the company successfully launched its beta version. More than 90% of the AI technology stack involved new and unfamiliar domains, but with SmileShark’s expertise and AWS’s robust services, Blynx shortened its learning curve and adapted quickly.


Remarkably, within the first month of launch, over 300 chatbots had been created without dedicated marketing efforts. Organic adoption continued to grow, attracting a diverse customer base that included startups, KOSDAQ-listed enterprises, hospitals, and law firms.

Driving Innovation with AI

Over 90% of the AI stack represented new technology areas, requiring a different approach than traditional development. The Blynx team leveraged AI tools such as ChatGPT and Cursor to accelerate prototyping, while SmileShark provided professional technical validation. This combination allowed the company to innovate quickly while maintaining stability and security.


From this experience, Blynx emphasizes three key principles for companies pursuing AI-driven business models:


1. Realistic expectation management – Understand what AI can and cannot do today to avoid poor decision-making and ensure effective resource allocation.


2. Data-centric strategies – Clearly define what data is available, how it should be refined, and what outcomes are expected before starting.


3. Collaboration with professional partners – Work with experienced partners like SmileShark, who bring extensive client experience and practical feasibility checks.



Looking Ahead: Global Expansion

Blynx’s long-term vision is to redefine platform businesses around LLM technologies. A recent example demonstrated this potential when a customer launched a “self-introduction chatbot” on a dating platform. In just 24 hours, the chatbot generated over 3,000 messages and facilitated 10 successful real-life matches, showcasing the transformative power of conversational AI in social networking.


Building on this momentum, Blynx is preparing to launch globally. Starting as early as October 2024, the company plans to release multilingual services in English and Japanese. To support this growth, Blynx is expanding its AWS infrastructure beyond the Seoul Region to Virginia and Singapore, while also implementing international payment systems such as PayPal.
